Sprinted Down the Road of Self-Deprecation
Alana had heard that a thief had climbed over the wall and into their estate a few days ago in the early morning hours. The dogs on the servant's side had been barking incessantly.
During breakfast, she rambled on, "The servants say that a thief climbs over the wall on the morning of July 15th. He is carrying two sacks on his shoulders, but they don't find anything missing, and they don't see anyone around... Have any of you lost anything?"
Susie and Wade who were eating were momentarily stunned, two sacks?
Craig frowned, "Have you checked the surveillance footage? Are you sure he carries two sacks in and not out?"
A thief had entered our estate? This was nearly impossible.
This residential area belonged to the wealthy district with excellent security measures in place. The Murray family estate also had its professional security team.
Besides, even if a thief did break in, they wouldn't carry things into the Murray family estate…
Alana’s face looked even more unusual, "Is it a coincidence that the surveillance footage happens to be broken that night?"
Wade suddenly choked and coughed violently.
Kellen Morton calmly picked up a glass of water and put it in front of Wade. He then said, "I'll go take a look later and see if I can restore it."
Alana nodded, "Then you go and have a look. I just have a strange feeling that everything is fine."
Kellen agreed with it.
At the same time, Wade looked dumbfounded.
How did Kellen manage to remain calm and unfazed?
It was he who had climbed over the wall that morning.
And the two "sacks" he was carrying on his shoulders...were him and Susie...
Wade's face and Martin's faces were expressionless as if they knew everything.
Susie put down her chopsticks and said obediently, "Alana, I'm full!"
Wade also quickly put down his chopsticks, "I'm full too!"
Alana was shocked, "Just this little bit is enough?"
Susie said, "I'm going with Jonathan to celebrate Niki's birthday today!"
She didn't want to eat too much and saved the space for cake secretly.
Alana suddenly remembered and slapped her forehead, "I almost forget! Jonathan is on set, I'll take you over later."
The Hungry Ghost Festival had passed, and everyone had returned to work as usual. Paul Murray and his colleagues also returned to their jobs.
David and Michael had gone to the construction site early and Ryan was so busy that he did not have enough time to use.
Susie nodded and ran upstairs, "Alana, I'm going to change my clothes!"
Alana had finished her breakfast and followed her up while reminding Kellen, "Remember to check the surveillance footage!"
Kellen lazily nodded with an expression that seemed to say, "Leave it to me."
It was impossible to check it, and it would only end up broken.
He couldn't let the old woman know that he had taken Susie out at the midnight and climbed the wall inside the house in the morning...
She will chop him with her bare hands if she knows the truth.
Wade asked anxiously after everyone left, "Kellen, you're not going to restore the surveillance, are you?"
Kellen replied, "Um, what do you think?"
Wade remained silent.
Kellen stood up, patted Wade's head, and roughly rubbed it, "Men, you should stay calm when dealing with things."
He swung his military green coat over his shoulder after finishing his talk and walked out gracefully.
After a while, the arrogant SUV maintained its reckless personality and quickly disappeared at the end of the road.
Wade muttered softly, "I'm not a man, I'm a little boy."
Humph, little boys weren't so cunning.
Susie changed into a black mini dress but then thought, no, it's Niki's birthday, I should be more festive!
She then changed into a red mini-dress.
But then she thought again, Niki was the birthday girl.
She immediately changed into a pink and blue puffy skirt and was finally satisfied.
Alex stood on the table, tilted its head, and turned its little green bean eyes. Its singing voice was pleasant, "Black one, white one, red one, yellow one, purple one, green one, blue one, gray one... all kinds of styles and colors, old and new, everything is up to you..."
Susie giggled and put on a pair of white loafers. After that, she began to use a comb to tie her hair.
But her movements were clumsy, so her hair was still a mess although she had been tried for a long time.
"Hey!" She dropped the comb angrily and said with a sad face, "It's so hard to tie my hair!"
She could dress, wear shoes, brush her teeth, wash her face, and make herself look clean.
But she just couldn't tie her hair.
She looked at Alex and thought, "Should I cut a little bit of hair?"
The more Susie thought about it, the more feasible it became. She wanted to cut her hair short, so she wouldn't have to tie her hair anymore!
She immediately opened a small cabinet and looked for scissors.
Finally, she found the scissors and was about to start.
Lucy suddenly pushed the door and came inside, running with a kite in her hand, "Susie, let's go fly kites!"
Then she saw Susie preparing to cut her hair, and she was stunned, "What are you doing?"
Susie said, "I want to cut my hair because tying my hair is too troublesome."
Lucy suddenly got excited and threw the kite aside.
She climbed onto a long makeup chair and said, "Right, right? You also think tying your hair is annoying, right? I want to cut mine too. I want to cut it bald!"
Like this, we did not need to wash or tie our hair!
Susie remained silent.
Was this a good idea?
"If you cut it bald, you'll become a little monk," she said, but then she quickly changed her words, "a little nun."
Lucy felt like not care about anything. If she didn't have to wash or tie her hair, she would be a little nun.
"No hair is smart, you see the bald guy in the anime, Ikkyū-san! Bald is so cool, please call me Bald Lucy starting now."
Lucy went down the path of self-deprecation unconsciously and never returned.
Susie was shocked.
Alex swayed his body and said, "Hiccup hiccup hiccup hiccup hiccup... we love you! Hiccup hiccup hiccup hiccup hiccup... you're smart and witty, no one can compare to you."
Lucy immediately asked, "Are you cutting hair? Give it to me first if you're not cutting it."
Susie quickly nodded, "Yes, but I don't want to cut it into a bald head."
Susie didn't think bald heads looked good and it make her head feel cool.
She pinched the small scissors and started with the bangs.
However, these small scissors were handmade and not very sharp in design to prevent accidental cuts on fingers.
Susie struggled very hard and only managed to cut off a little bit of hair.
Lucy shook her head and said, "No, that's not how you cut it!"
She took the scissors and reached into the hair on the top of her head, "Look, it should be like this..."
Lucy wanted to show off in front of Susie, but the scissors were dull. They can make a crackling sound when cutting hard paper, but it was difficult to cut soft hair.
She felt embarrassed and exerted all her strength, finally managing to cut off a chunk.
"Look!"
She proudly held up the hair.
At this moment, the two little darlings were immersed in the "game" of cutting hair and had long forgotten what they originally wanted to do.
The more they cut, the more excited they became. They were taking turns cutting each other's hair.
When Alana opened the door, they were both stupefied.
"What are you doing?!"
Susie trembled in fear and dropped the scissors to the ground.
She quickly put her hands behind her back and shook her head repeatedly, "Alana, we don't do anything."
Alana looked at the two girl’s hideous haircuts and her mouth twitched.
Help...
She almost encountered a heart attack.
Two little girls with perfectly fine hair had cut it to look like a dog had chewed on it.
Lucy was even worse, looked like a Khitan.
Lucy still acts recklessly and blindly. She asked happily while looking in the mirror, "Alana, do I look pretty?"
