How Is Auntie Jinny?
Alana got up early in the morning and made breakfast.
Craig got up early in the morning and went to the edge of the ink bamboo forest to practice Tai Chi. He couldn't tell if it was an illusion, but he felt like his physical condition had returned to when he was 18 years old.
Then he wanted to pull the old lady along, but unfortunately she was busy making breakfast and ignored her.
"Ah, actually Susie was at home. If she was really hungry, she could have come out to find something to eat."
Craig was worried about her. She used to wake up early every morning to cook, but now she was waking up even earlier.
Alana snorted and said, "You don't know shit."
Craig shut up. Lately, the old lady has been getting lazier and doesn't bother to pay attention to him. For the past two months, the words she said to him were nothing but the same old crap, all "you don't understand a damn thing."
Alana cooked a small pot of lean meat and preserved egg congee. After the congee was cooked, Alana instructed Ada to set it aside to cool and keep it at around thirty degrees Celsius, so that it would not be too hot or too cold to eat.
Make sure that Susie can eat directly after she wakes up.
Then I made some steamed shrimp dumplings and such. Today's dishes were mainly Cantonese-style morning tea, which is relatively light.
Tiger skin chicken feet were fried by her. She blanched the chicken feet, skimmed off the foam, and then boiled them for about three minutes. She scooped them out and washed them with clean water.
Then, start frying. After frying, the most crucial step is to immediately soak the fried chicken feet in ice water for about two hours. This is the key to whether the chicken feet can have a crispy skin.
So don't be fooled by just a small tiger skin chicken claw, in fact, Alana started getting up and preparing before six o'clock.
Ada said, "Alana, actually I could just fry chicken feet when I woke up in the morning. Why did you get up so early..."
Alana said, "You don't understand, I wanted to do it myself..."
Ada and the others didn't know that Susie was in the room, after all, it was too strange for a living person to not leave the house for two months and not make any noise.
Susie stayed in the room because she was not feeling well. Alana usually only entered the room once, and at other times, she did not allow anyone else to enter, which made it even more mysterious.
So Ada and the others only knew that Miss had gone on another trip.
"Maybe Miss Susie has already returned today," Ada comforted, "You should take good care of yourself."
It is said that Ada also knows that every time Miss goes on a long journey, it takes one or two years.
They never specifically asked about it, but anything that the Murray family shouldn't ask, they didn't ask.
Alana and Ada prepared breakfast as usual, and shouted, "Breakfast is ready, let's eat!"
The rest of the Murray family went downstairs, Lucy looked like she hadn't woken up yet, Wade was slow and leisurely, Hamza stood straight and elegant, taking his time.
Martin was holding his phone and looking at it. He had come back for a while these days, while Jinny had traveled around the country and now she had reached Rainbow. Today, he was going to leave for Rainbow again.
Suddenly, Susie's door opened and a familiar and cheerful voice exclaimed, "I'm here, I'm here!"
In an instant, everyone froze and abruptly turned their heads to look upstairs!
Wade was dumbfounded, Lucy rubbed her eyes, thinking she was dreaming, and Hamza was taken aback, exclaiming, "Susie?"
Alana never expected it, but after two months of calling out for breakfast, she finally received a response from Susie.
She woke up!
The old lady was on the verge of tears of joy, and quickly went up. Susie also ran downstairs and hugged her tightly.
"Grandma, I'm hungry!" Susie said.
Alana's eyes welled up with tears, "Grandma has already prepared breakfast! Susie, when did you wake up... when did you come back, without even telling Grandma?"
Ada was also surprised and exclaimed, "Yes, yes, Miss, you scared me! Why didn't you say anything when you came back?"
Susie tilted her head back and spoke with a clear and pleasant voice, "When I came back, it was late at night, and Uncle Martin picked me up... um."
Martin, who had regained his composure, nodded. "Hmm, it's too late to disturb anyone else."
Ada was excited and exclaimed, "Miss, please eat quickly! Alana has been waiting for a long time!"
The sound of Susie's voice in the house was like throwing a stone into a lake!
The Murray family instantly became lively. Lucy no longer felt sleepy and chattered non-stop around Susie. Wade and Hamza served Susie dishes, saying this one is delicious, and that one is also delicious.
Zion usually left his house one minute before he was supposed to leave for school. The moment Susie's voice rang out, he would jump up and quickly brush his teeth, wash his face, and join the group.
The whole table, Susie was the strongest rice eater. She slurped down two bowls of porridge, two char siu buns, a steamed spare ribs, two stacks of chicken feet with tiger skin, and a small bowl of quail eggs...
Alana was delighted and secretly grateful that she had been preparing every day. Look, her little darling ate so happily!
While Alana was serving her food, she asked, "How long until you go out again after coming back this time?"
Susie said, "Grandma, I will be leaving in a few days..."
Alana paused for a moment, and indeed, when she calculated it, she had been at home for nearly three months this time.
She should have been content.
Martin chose to stay at home for a day because he was worried about Jinny, so he decided to go to Rainbow the next day.
Susie asked, "Does Uncle Martin run with Auntie Jinny every day now?"
Martin nodded, "Hmm, otherwise Auntie Jinny would be alone, and I wouldn't feel at ease."
She went to Mount Adams, and he waited in the small town below Mount Adams.
She went to the east coast, and he waited at the small fishing village by the east coast.
He couldn't help her with anything, nor would he cause trouble for her. All he could do was accompany her.
"By the way, how is Auntie Jinny's baby in her belly doing? Has it grown?" Susie suddenly asked.
