The Ugly Cat

Cats had a strong sixth sense, or it can be said that they were naturally sensitive.

Tabby felt the danger approaching long before Xander arrived, and she ran away with the locomotive overnight.

So it didn't know about Alex being possessed, let alone Susie looking for it now.

Tabby, who had left the Murray's manor, aimlessly walked in the quiet alley. The city's tall buildings were stacked one after another, and it looked up at the distant skyscrapers. Faintly, it could still hear the constant flow of cars and the honking of horns.

This is a quiet neighborhood with high-rise buildings and garden villas, relatively peaceful.

Tabby lay gloomily on a flower-covered wall, hiding herself in a sea of flowers.

Ah~ It didn't know why it wanted to escape, it just felt that something very scary was coming, a suppression from its natural domain.

"Huh, there was a cat over there," a sudden voice came.

Tabby looked down and saw two little boys in school uniforms looking up at it.

Tabby's pair of amber eyes were cold and indifferent, not panicking or running away when she was discovered, nor did she approach seeking a pat.

It looked at me coldly, expressionless.

Two mischievous little boys shouted at Tabby, "Hey, you ugly little stray cat!"

"Haha, this is called the countryside cat, so ugly, it also looks so silly."

"Look, I smashed it down!"

Two boys suddenly started fighting and picked up stones from the ground to throw them at the wall.

Zoom-

A baby-sized stone came flying towards Tabby, who slightly turned her head. She saw the stone graze her face and fly past her.

"Hey, it actually dared to hide."

"Hahaha, it was fun, firing the cannonball!"

Two little boys were playing together, picking up stones and continuously throwing them up.

Strangely enough, not a single piece managed to hit the cat on the wall; they all landed in the small garden behind the fence.

The child who was initially playing and laughing became annoyed.

One of the children picked up a small piece of brick, exerted all his strength, and shouted loudly as he threw it towards the wall.

Tabby squinted her eyes slightly and this time, she stood up. As she saw the small piece of brick coming towards her, she lifted her paw and leaped lightly.

A brick flew into the surrounding wall, suddenly making a loud noise!

The glass was smashed.

The two children's faces changed and they immediately ran away, saying, "Oh no, we've caused trouble, let's run quickly!"

"It's all because of that ugly cat!"

Tabby's eyes were cold and indifferent as she stood on the fence, surrounded by dimly lit flowers. She lifted her chin and prepared to leave with a graceful and light gait.

At this moment, the gate of the garden cottage suddenly opened, and a middle-aged woman came out angrily, shouting, "Which little brat is it? Show yourself!"

There was no one around, and she looked angrily at the surrounding wall. She saw a calico cat slowly walking back from the spot where the stone had just fallen.

"Fine, is it you, this dead cat?" The middle-aged woman, who seemed to be in a bad mood to begin with, suddenly found a place to vent her anger.

Tabby looked at her with a face that said "Are you an idiot?" and there was disdain in her eyes.

The middle-aged woman paused for a moment, not knowing why, but at that moment she felt as if the cat was looking down on her!

She was so angry that she took off the cotton slippers on her feet and threw them fiercely, only to find that the shoes got stuck on the tree and couldn't come down...

The middle-aged woman spat blood in anger.

Soon, another young woman walked out, irritably blaming, "Mom, what time is it? Why are you still here playing with a cat!"

Middle-aged woman was annoyed, "I didn't play with it, it was the one that smashed our house window first."

Carol looked up and saw a very ordinary calico cat. She was speechless and said, "Mom, even if you're angry, don't lose your temper! How can a cat throw stones?"

Irma grumbled a few words and reluctantly went inside.

The small garden at home was smashed into a mess. The daffodils she had just planted were all smashed, and the hydrangeas that had finally bloomed were in a state of chaos.

The glass of the sunroom was even broken.

"Don't let me catch that little rascal..." Irma muttered as she tidied up.

Yes, this is Carol's house.

The location of this residential area is good, with an elementary school and a junior high school right at the doorstep. It is a highly desirable school district property.

The Beck family chose the best townhouse in the neighborhood when they settled here, considering that the housing prices in the school district were already high.

The reason it is called a "stacked villa" is because it is not a standalone unit. Normally, the upper three floors belong to one family, while the lower three floors belong to another family, and the two families are stacked together.

The Beck family had originally planned to buy a mansion in the wealthy district, but they found themselves blending in with the crowd there. There was nothing special about it, as everyone there was already wealthy.

But when they came here, they were the wealthiest family, discreetly leaking out their status, enjoying the feeling of being revered by others.

In such an environment, Carol had already developed a haughty and aloof personality, but now she is extremely worried about her marriage.

"The Wright family refused to give a dowry of two hundred million, no matter what." Carol said, "If they continue to treat me like this, I won't marry!"
